As fans gear up to immerse themselves in the fabulous world of Sex and the City again—full of labels, love and cosmopolitans—we're turning our eyes towards Sarita Choudhury. And Just Like That…'s cast and crew gathered for an intimate evening at the Crosby Street Hotel to celebrate the show's premiere and the showstealer was this Indian-origin actress.

As expected from the most fashion-forward cast of television, the crew of the 2023 version of Sex and the City's star power brought their A-game; Sarah Jessica Parker styled her tulle Ralph Lauren gown in the most Carrie Bradshaw-esque manner—with hot pink heels, a long beaded necklace and a sparkly shoulder bag. Cynthia Nixon served drama in her Sacai look while Kristin Davis' black Versace slip dress with the faintest show of bra gave a sexy Charlotte.

But who grabbed our eyeballs was Sarita Choudhury aka Seema Patel from AJLT who turned up at the dinner in an archival Balenciaga number from the brand's iconic Spring Summer 2016 collection inspired by loungewear, the last one designed by then creative director Alexander Wang. The archival dress, just like the rest of the collection, is made of sumptuous cream satin and gives the appearance of a sexy négligée.
With cording detail at the underbust, sheer lace extending upwards into tie up shoulder straps and a delicate bow at the centre, the monochromatic detailing on this chemise-style gown is perfection, fit for a goddess-off-duty.
When speaking of Choudhury's look, stylist Caitlin Burke said, “When Sarita and I started talking about her looks for this press round, most of her references were of old Italian film stars, so that was the starting point. I took her references and interpreted them into modern takes on those classic silhouettes. Her premiere look was inspired by a beautiful dressing gown she was wearing to get ready in once. I wanted to channel the ease and beauty she had while wearing it, but in a more stylized, evening way.”
To keep things minimal, Choudhury added a pair of yellow sapphire earrings and a thin diamond bangle with some gold strappy sandals. The glam consisted of kohl-rimmed eyes and nude lips paired with voluminous curls, in keeping with the effortless sexy nature of the dress
