The park will be open on select dates through November during the daytime, but you’ll definitely want to visit on the weekends for Dinosaurs After Dark, which take place Friday and Saturday nights in October. The whole family can take a lantern-lit tour of the park. A Dinosaur Wrangler will lead a Tyrannosaurus Hunt along the Field Station’s darkened trails, so keep your eyes open for any creatures that will be lurking about. Bring your flashlight!

If you survive, you’ll gather around the campfire for a dinosaur sing-along, roasted marshmallows and hot chocolate.

Field Station: Dinosaurs is located in Overpeck County Park at 40 Fort Lee Rd. in Leonia. The fall season goes through Nov. 12, open from 10 am to 5 pm Saturdays and Sundays. Scout Day is Saturday, October 14. The park will be open on Thursday, November 9 and Friday, November 10, from 10 am to 5 pm, during NJ Teacher’s Convention Week. Admission tickets start at $17.50 (kids under 2 are free). There are additional fees for the online Paleontologists Library and the Jurassic Jump. Reservations online are encouraged.
